Step Into the Life of a Pharmacy Student!

Want to know what it’s really like to be a Pharmacy student? Here’s your chance to experience it firsthand — not from a brochure, but from inside the classroom.

Join us at our Schaumburg Campus for an Immersive Shadowing Experience with the class PHAR 530 Principles of Drug Action— part of our Doctor of Pharmacy program- led by Dr. Peter Hart.

You will sit with current students and have the opportunity to learn more about how drugs work in the body and in body systems. In this immersive experience you will explore the biology, physiology, and chemistry basis underlying pharmaceutical drug action. This course overviews important topics in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry concerning drug pharmacodynamics (drug-receptor interactions and mechanisms of action) and pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination) pertinent to understanding drug indications, intended therapeutic effects, adverse reactions, and drug-drug interactions.

Every classroom session is different — come to one or join us for several! Each visit gives you a unique behind-the-scenes look into the future of pharmacy.

Ready to see what your future could look like? We’ll save you a seat!
