    Dear Students,

    Spring 2027 is coming soon. All classes begin on January 19, 2027, and you must report to the school on Friday, January 15, 2027, for the mandatory international orientation, so please start your F-1 visa preparation early. Visa interview appointments can be difficult to get in many countries.

    Who Should Attend:
    • Admitted Students and Students who have received their I-20s.
    Who Shouldn't Attend:
    • Students who are currently studying in the U.S. with an F-1 visa.
    During the session, we will:

    • Review the DS-160 form for mistakes.

    • Identify possible red flags before your visa interview.

    • Make sure your DS-160 and I-20 information are consistent.

    • Better prepared for your F-1 visa interview.

    Be Honest and Complete on Your DS-160
    You must answer every DS-160 question honestly and completely.
    For example, if the DS-160 asks about additional email addresses, telephone numbers, or social media accounts, you should provide all information required by the question.

    Do not leave out information because you think it is not important.
    The U.S. government may use the information on your DS-160 as part of its security and background screening process. Missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information may raise questions during the review of your visa application.

    Remember: Be honest. Be accurate. Do not hide information. Review everything carefully before you submit your DS-160.
    Important: Complete Your Own DS-160

    You should complete your own DS-160. The form asks about you, your family, education, work, travel, and other personal information. You know this information better than anyone else.

    Someone can help you understand the questions, but you should know and review every answer before submitting the form.

    Remember, the Visa Officer may ask you questions based on your DS-160. If your interview answers differ from your DS-160, this may raise concerns or red flags.

    Start early. Complete your DS-160 carefully. Secure your visa appointment as soon as possible.

    Please be on time.  Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the Zoom session after 5 minutes past the start time.
